We collaborated with our sister-agency VCCP Kin to deliver a world exclusive interview with the 14-time major winner
1997; Paul Stankowski is putting together his finest-ever performance in a major on the hallowed greens of Augusta National, starting the final round in third place at five-under par. The trouble for Paul, and the 84 others in the field that weekend, was that a young man from California was beginning a journey of dominance that would leave an indelible mark on his sport. As Paul recounts, “we were watching greatness”.
Twenty years on from that record-breaking performance and Tiger Woods’ trophy cabinet boasts 14-major triumphs and estimated career earnings in excess of $1 billion. However, with the glory has also come pain.
A series of debilitating injuries, most recently to his back, has led to a three-year spell without a PGA tour win and nine years without a major. His troublesome back ruled him out of a sentimental anniversary at last weekend’s Masters and has prompted many to ponder whether this might be the end for Tiger?
Last month, we collaborated with our sister-agency VCCP Kin to deliver a world exclusive interview with the 14-time major winner titled 4 Days with Tiger
. It is a major coup for the CNN Living Golf show, where the series was aired, as no other broadcaster has obtained this level of access in recent years.
The series was broadcast in seven different languages across the CNN Network, distributed across TV, digital and mobile platforms, reaching more than 425 million households.
The show follows Tiger’s fateful four days in Dubai as he talks about his mental and physical journey back to full fitness, his views on the game and his hopes and plans for the future.
