Anthony Joshua launches partnership with free workout

The Brands team have been busy activating the launch of the partnership between Lucozade Sport and Our Parks. As part of the #MadeToMove campaign, the partnership aligns both brands aims of getting more people moving.
Our Parks is an initiative that brings free, group exercise classes, led by experienced, fully qualified and insured instructors, to parks in London with the prime focus of tackling inactivity via outdoor exercise. Lucozade Sport’s partnership with Our Parks will see a minimum of one physical session in all 33 London boroughs and locations will be announced based on public demand and the areas of need for more physical activity.
Lucozade Sport’s ambition is to get 1 million people moving more by 2020. The Our Parks partnership will play a key role, providing over 100,000 opportunities for people to exercise for free across London and beyond. There will be daily online workouts and a number of physical sessions per week.

Lucozade Sport Ambassador, and World Heavyweight Champion, Anthony Joshua announced the launch via his social media channels, inviting the public to take part in an Our Parks ‘Turn Up Tone Up’ session in in Victory Park at the East Village of the Olympic Park, London.
Media, social influencers, ‘Parkers’ and the general public took part in the workout session with Our Parks CEO Born Barikor and Anthony Joshua. The event perfectly embodied what Our Parks are all about, creating a friendly fitness community who partake in free workouts in different parks around London.
400 people attended the event, with coverage featured on Sky Sports News and Channel 4 News, and in online outlets Boxing News 24, Coach Magazine, and Campaign. Exclusive coverage is expected in the Evening Standard and Mail Online.
Speaking about the event, James Young, Head of Partnerships at Lucozade Sport, said: “We could have done that in a number of London parks on a number of occasions and said ‘right, just come down and workout for free’ and in a way that’s what our partnership with Our Parks is about.”
“To have hundreds of people down here and working out with AJ this morning has been incredible – what a way to kick-start the partnership between Lucozade Sport and Our Parks, driving towards our goal to get a million people moving more by 2020.”

Born Barikor, founder of Our Parks: “The turn-out was epic and we were thrilled that our new partner, Lucozade Sport, brought Anthony Joshua down to kick-start an exciting new chapter for us. Our mission is to get 100,000 parkers exercising weekly by 2019 as we feel that everyone should have access to high quality exercise regardless of where they live or their circumstances.”
