Captain of the Nigerian national football team
We are proud to announce the signing of John Mikel Obi – captain of Nigeria and Chinese Super League Tianjin TEDA. We will exclusively represent John’s commercial interests, in addition to providing communications support in both on and off field activities.

On the news of the announcement, John said: “I am delighted to be partnering with CSM (Sport & Entertainment) at such an exciting time for me. On the field, I am focussed on my second season in China and captaining the Nigerian squad in to the FIFA World Cup in Russia this Summer. Off the field I am looking at multiple opportunities to forge long-term partnerships for a variety of causes.”
The former Chelsea midfielder, 30, made over 375 appearances for the Blues in a ten-year spell in south west London, amassing 10 major trophies including the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, two Premier League titles and four FA Cups winners’ medals.
Internationally, John Mikel Obi lifted the African Cup of Nations as part of the Super Eagles team that won the tournament in 2013. He also collected a bronze medal with Nigeria in the 2016 Olympics in Rio.
