England rugby legend visits Sale Sharks HITZ programme
The label, legend, is fitting for one of rugby’s biggest names. Jason Robinson, represented by our Talent team, has won a Rugby World Cup, toured with the British & Irish Lions, won Premiership Rugby titles and covered off both rugby codes; league and union. From humble beginnings and leaving school with no GCSE’s, Robinson can now boast an MBE and OBE. With this experience and profile, Robinson is adamant that he pass on some of the things he has learnt along the way, and is working with the HITZ programme to mentor some of the UK’s youngsters, involved in the programme.
HITZ is designed to motivate young adults who struggle with education, employment and vocational training. The programme uses the power of rugby to engage the youngsters and works with brands such as Land Rover to offer the individuals experiences and opportunities to help them develop.
Returning to his Premiership Rugby roots, Robinson is primed to visit the Sale Sharks HITZ programme, lending a hand at their weekly rugby training session. A mix up in locations means the former Sale Sharks winger is in dire need of an emergency transfer. There was never any doubt who would receive the call…Flatman can make the Bath to Manchester trip with ease.
