Land Rover use Tigers and Saints to promote junior rugby

East Midlands rivalries put aside ahead of Saturday’s Derby Day

CSM and Land Rover helped put rivalries in the East Midlands to one side this week as Leicester Tigers and Northampton Saints joined forces for the benefit of developing grassroots rugby.

Coming together ahead of Saturday’s clash at Welford Road in the Leicestershire and Northamptonshire border town of Market Harborough, Premiership stars George Ford, Ben Youngs and Ellis Genge combined with Piers Francis, Teimana Harrison and Alex Mitchell for this special training session.

One of the country’s fiercest rivalries was momentarily put on hold as Market Harborough RFC U11 and U12 teams, winners of this year’s Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup, were put through their paces in testing and wet conditions.

As the Official Vehicle Partner of Premiership Rugby, Land Rover is celebrating its testimonial season of support for the grassroots game, and the Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup; the national rugby tournament for U11 and U12 teams.
