On the road to Pebble Beach

US Open trophy makes its way through San Francisco

To kick off the Road to Pebble Beach for the 119th U.S. Open, we partnered with the USGA to bring the caddies on a cable car activation to San Francisco. San Francisco 49ers legend Joe Montana kicked off opening remarks, where he was announced as the honourary ambassador for this year’s U.S. Open.
Attendees were then invited to join a lively group of costumed caddies for a cable car tour of San Francisco with the Championship trophy for exclusive photo opportunities. From Crissy Field to Oracle Park, the caddies showcased the trophy, handed out U.S. Open themed gifts to unsuspecting fans and concluded the day with a visit to the San Francisco Giants’ batting practice.

This event marked the beginning of the U.S. Open Trophy Tour presented by Lexus, a special road show through the community with stops at locations such as Bay to Breakers Marathon and Union Street Fair over the next two months.
