Prime Video’s Good Omens wows at SXSW

Guests enjoy epic “Garden of Earthly Delights”

This month, our team in North America brought the most epic end of the world party to SXSW. In a 19,000-square-foot outdoor space, we created an immersive experience in celebration of the launch of Amazon Prime Video’s new original series, Good Omens premiering on May 31.
Inside Prime Video’s Good Omens: Garden of Earthly Delights, guests were transported into the world of the beloved book-turned-series and welcomed by angels and demons along with a multitude of apocalyptic characters and performers including sword swallowers, fire breathers, and aura and tarot card readers

The activation featured a 25-foot hand-carved tree that served beer and wine, a Hellhound Puppy Pen with adoptable puppies from a local Austin Animal Centre, heavenly and hellish treats from local Austin eateries, and a replica of Crowley’s infamous 1926 Bentley as well as an A.Z. Fell & Co pop-up bookshop photo booth for super-fans.
“The Garden” was also home to parties hosted by BuzzFeed and Entertainment Weekly media partners, featuring special appearances by Jon Hamm, Michael Sheen, David Tennant, Neil Gaiman and performances by Questlove, Dan Deacon and Almost Queen.

Approximately 13,000 SXSW attendees walked through the footprint over the course of the 4-day activation. It was the talk of Austin and captured the attention of billions online being featured in over 96 publications and garnering more than 6 billion media impressions from outlets like Adweek, BuzzFeed, CNBC, Us Weekly, Business Insider and more.
