On court, on course and in the ring

From the golf course to the boxing ring to a rage room, CSM Production had quite the busy March working with Barstool Sports.

Once again, Production is providing operational support for Barstool Sports’ Annual “Barstool Classic” tour, a series of golf tournaments that brands itself as “America’s Member Guest.” The tour’s first stop of 22 this season landed in Myrtle Beach, S.C. the first week of March, and Production was on hand to set the course up with branded elements for sponsors including Peter Millar, Visit Myrtle Beach, Taylormade Golf, Biolyte, and the event’s title sponsor, Truly Hard Seltzer. Week in and week out, The team will arrive well before the participating golfers to ensure that all of the tournament’s branded elements, including on-course signage, larger-than-life props, and Truly-branded coolers for are in place and ready to go. When the event is over, these elements are expertly packed and transported to the next tour stop, and the process starts again. Additional March stops included Lakewood Ranch, Fla., and Lake Charles, La. before heading out west in April.

Additionally, Production provided support to Barstool’s “Rough N Rowdy” boxing program in West Virginia. Our team built out sponsor activations for event sponsors Four Loko and Chi3 CBD that featured oversized boxing gloves and a custom-fabricated throne, along with a Four Loko-branded analyst desk and backdrop. The custom elements were appreciated by both the client and their sponsors, with Four Loko noting on Instagram that the pieces produced for them were “Amazing Work!”

Finally, There’s March Madness, and then there’s “March Madness.” During the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament, Barstool Sports enlisted the talents of Production to create a “Rage Room” on-site at the Hollywood Casino in Columbus, Ohio. As the weekend’s results went final (and wagers went either the “right” way or “wrong way”), the Barstool team was able to blow off some steam in a custom-built 16×16’ space that was created by us and branded for sponsor Jack Links Beef Jerky. Armed with baseball bats, Barstool took aim at dozens of breakable items including lamps, glassware, appliances, and basketball backboards, shattering far more than just their brackets in the process. Based on the success of the Rage Room, Production was enlisted to create a new Barstool concept centered around the Final Four in Houston, which takes place this weekend.
