CSM Bicycle NSW

Delivering Sydney's Largest Family Friendly Recreational Bike Ride

Bicycle NSW has appointed us to deliver the iconic Spring Cycle event due to take place on 12th September 2021 in Sydney.

The appointment will see us use our industry expertise to oversee the event delivery for NSW’s largest family friendly recreational bike ride.  This includes; operational delivery, ticketing, event presentation, marketing and communications. We will also be working with Bicycle NSW to identify, develop and secure strategic commercial partnerships for Spring Cycle.

Bicycle NSW has a forty-five-year history of working to create a better environment for all bicycle riders across NSW. As a part of this mission, Bicycle NSW runs Spring Cycle to highlight that bike riding is for everyone, and to show that when riding in a safe environment, more people will choose to ride.

Spring Cycle sees over 8,000 cyclists take to the streets of Sydney each year in this thrilling experience of cycling over the Sydney Harbour Bridge, traffic free. Riders of all abilities are encouraged to take part, including everyday cyclists, new adopters, and families. The 2021 event is also set to break boundaries by introducing adaptive cycling for the very first time, which will expand its accessibility to people with disabilities.

Alistair Ferguson, CEO for Bicycle NSW, said:
Bicycle NSW is delighted to have Spring Cycle back for 2021. It’s a much-loved, relaxed, non-competitive ride which helps to promote bike riding as a fun and sustainable means of transport. We’re also thrilled to have the powerhouse of CSM on board for this year. Together, we will be encouraging thousands of riders to experience Sydney like never before and to keep riding long after the event.”

Jane Robertson, Business Director for CSM Australia, said:
“We are delighted to be partnering with Bicycle NSW to deliver the iconic Spring Cycle and develop commercial opportunities.  The upcoming event is set to be the most accessible yet and, combined with its rich history, presents powerful opportunities for brands to be a part of bringing together the NSW community, to promote health and wellbeing, as well as a sustainable future of transport for all.”

First run in 1984, Spring Cycle has played a large role in cycling advocacy in NSW. Following its cancellation in 2020 due to Covid-19, Spring Cycle is set to make a strong return later in the year and the event is now open for registration.
