Production team begins management of purpose-driven initiative

Recently, our Production team began tour management for the Underrated Golf Tour, presented by Stephen Curry. A purpose-driven endeavor committed to provide equity, access, and opportunity to student-athletes in every community by balancing participation in golf to truly reflect society, the Underrated Tour hosted its first of five events from June 21-23 at Chicago’s historic Cog Hill Golf Club.

For the tour itself, Production is responsible for all inside- and outside-the-ropes tournament management, ranging from course branding and creative, to on-site event registration, to coordination of food and beverage, to transportation and lodging logistics for golfers and their families. At each tour stop, 60 junior golfers, hailing from across the United States and as far away as the United Kingdom compete in two tournament rounds in hopes of earning enough points to qualify for a coveted spot in the tour’s finale.

Following the first event at Cog Hill, the Underrated Tour heads to Arizona’s Wickenburg Ranch June 29-July 1, Texas’ Golf Club of Houston July 17-19, and Florida’s Innisbrook Resort August 8-10 before concluding with the tour’s Championship, the Curry Cup, hosted at San Francisco’s TPC Harding Park on August 28-30.

The first tour event received rave reviews from participants, parents and the SC30 team, and was covered by CBS News and Golf Digest, described as “brilliant” and “even better than you could have imagined.”
