Interns and apprentices join the business

We are delighted to welcome our latest intake of apprentices and interns, who join the business as part of our Grassroots programme.

Grassroots was launched globally in 2019, with the aim of finding the best entry-level talent to break into the industry through non-traditional routes. The global initiative has four pillars of Mentoring, Work Experience, Internships, and Apprenticeships, and provides recruits with a clear pathway to establishing a career in the marketing industry.

Building on a successful first year, this year saw a further 170 candidates apply to the Apprenticeship programme in London.

Extraordinary Apprentices

We are delighted to have identified our six new apprentices and welcome Daniella Annoh, Dennis Ly, Erica Ighavbota, Jesse Mckenzie, Keiren Mullage and Manny Khan into the agency. They join our UK-based team, where they will have the chance to contribute to some of our most notable work in the sport and entertainment sector.

Extraordinary interns

We are also thrilled to welcome six new interns into our North American business. Brett Lingerfelt, Bridget Zima, Carly Bunuan, Dejah Delpleche, Divy Kedia and Layden Williams, joined the New York team in January, all of whom will inject yet further fresh thinking into the agency.

Each new starter will gain enviable hands on experience working across various client accounts, helping them develop a wide range of skills and setting them up for success in the world of work.

Chief People Officer, Charlotte Macartney, said: “It’s always a hugely exciting time when we meet our Grassroots apprentices and interns.

As a business, we truly believe that a greater diversity of thought creates better, more meaningful work. We know how important it is to continue expanding our talent pool and bringing in a wider range of perspectives, irrespective of background. Ultimately, it is those new perspectives that will help drive the business forward. It’s fantastic to have our twelve new starters on board, and it will be a great opportunity for them to further hone their skills and prepare for an exciting career ahead.”

The Grassroots programme was an incredible initiative to have taken part in, providing me with a chance to work in one of the world’s most dynamic industries. Not only have I been able to work alongside a number of great people, it’s given me an opportunity to learn from some of the industry’s leading figures and apply my own skills to a number of exciting projects. I can’t wait to meet the new apprentices and help them on their journey through CSM.
