A Summer of Golf with Steph Curry

After a summer-long journey of more than 15,000 miles, our Production team wrapped up the first edition of the five-stop Underrated Golf Tour with the Curry Cup, held at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco. A purpose-driven business endeavor, Underrated Golf, presented by Stephen Curry, is committed to providing equity, access, and opportunity to student athletes from every community by balancing participation in the game of golf to truly reflect our society.

The 26-golfer field featured the top-13 boys and girls who competed at the first four tour stops – in Chicago, Phoenix, Houston, and Tampa. The Production team was responsible for every operational aspect of the tour, from player and family travel arrangements to course set-up and branding, transportation and logistics, audio-visual and more. Each tournament was more than just golf, and featured panel discussions with business leaders and sponsors, eager to impart their wisdom on the next generation.

The Curry Cup finale was the culmination of a summer’s worth of hard work for both the golfers and the CSM team. A star-studded affair that saw attendance from PGA Tour Golfer Collin Morikawa, LPGA Golfer Michelle Wie, MLB Legends Bobby Bonilla and Barry Bonds, and of course, the Curry family – Stephen, father Dell, and brother Seth were all in attendance – the inaugural Curry Cup was captured by Roman Solomon of Sarasota, Florida and Ashley Shaw of Litchfield Park, Arizona.

“Over and over, Underrated says ‘We’re family here,’ and they truly mean it,” remarked the parent of one competitor. “I so appreciate that everything that has been done for the families.”

“There’s no way we would have had the summer we’ve had without Underrated,” remarked another.
