Dove Men+Care launch emotive rugby film ahead of a huge year for international rugby
Ahead of an exciting year for rugby, our client, Dove Men+Care has created an emotive mini film featuring England scrum-half, Ben Youngs, Ireland scrum-half, Conor Murray, Scotland full-back, Stuart Hogg and Wales back row, Taulupe Faletau. The piece gives us access to the players as they go about their pre-game routines, we hear the words of friends and loved ones telling of their caring nature as men, their individual stories displayed across their skin. The players appear mentally and physically strengthened as the words sink into their skin, pulling on their match jerseys and taking to the field, leaving us with the brand’s core message – ‘Care Makes a Man Stronger’.

The voice overs within the piece are contributed by those closest to the players from each of the brand’s home union partners. James Knight, a lifelong friend of Ben Youngs, Brian O’Donoghue, Conor Murray’s former teacher and coach, Stuart Hogg’s wife, Gillian and Taulupe Faletau’s friend and Welsh rugby teammate, Sam Warburton. The main film, created in partnership with VCCP Kin is supported by four individual edits, released next week to celebrate the stories of each player in turn.
Dove Men+Care Brand Manager, Libby Sherriff said: “We are hugely excited about the next 12 months of rugby, continuing our support for all four home unions, as well as the New Zealand All Blacks. We are delighted to have worked with some of the most respected and talented names from those teams over the last few weeks, delivering a video that showcases our brand values in the context of the game with which we are so proud to associate.”
