George Kruis fronts Marks and Spencer campaign


Our client, George Kruis, the Saracens and England rugby star, has recently featured in Marks and Spencer’s rebooted menswear collection ‘Big and Tall’. The campaign specialises in off-the-peg tailoring for men that don’t necessarily have a fashion models proportions. Standing at 6 foot 5 inches and 118kg, the England second row forward certainly fits this bill. Kruis joins fitness expert Louis Rennocks and model John Todd as the faces of the new campaign. Marks and Spencer is leading the way in expanding its range of clothing to suit stockier and taller men. As the campaign explains ‘a bigger frame shouldn’t mean a compromise on style’.

Kruis follows in the footsteps of Engalnd's 2003 Rugby World Cup winning captain and fellow second row forward, Martin Johnson CBE, who fronted Marks and Spencer's original 'Big and Tall' campaign in 2007. 
 
The range includes more than 150 suit styles in jackets up to 54” (and in lengths ranging from short to extra-long) and up to 48” trousers. However, the range is not just about the tailoring; there’s plenty on offer whatever sort of office dress code you comply with everyday, from shirts up to a 19” neck with 2” longer available on sleeves and body, to casualwear up to 4XL and shoes up to size 14.
 




Speaking at the launch of the new range Kruis said: “I’m really excited to model the latest tailoring range. I have been shopping at M&S my whole life, so have well and truly grown up with the brand. As a professional rugby player I have always struggled to find tailoring that fits due to my height and build. The jacket I'm wearing here fits well on my shoulders and is tailored at my waist, which makes it a great piece to throw on over casual-wear to sharpen up my look.”
 
A knee injury ruled Kruis out of all of England’s successful defence of its Six Nations title, however the highly-rated second row is targeting a return, for his club Saracens, this month.
