A clean sweep for Connacht Rugby at the Guinness PRO12 Awards

PRO12-(740x402px).jpgWith the end of the season fast approaching, players, officials and invited guests gathered at the home of Guinness to celebrate the successes of 2015/16. This was the 6th awards managed and delivered by CSM, and the second time it has been held in Dublin at the Guinness Storehouse. CSM client, Alex Payne of Sky Sports, was the night’s MC.

The Young Player of the Season award went to Sam Davies of Ospreys and the Rhino Golden Boot, which rewards the player with the best kicking percentages, was decided on Saturday afternoon when CSM client, Gareth Anscombe kicked Cardiff Blues to victory at BT Murrayfield.

However, Connacht continued their journey to the top of the table winning the big awards of the night, with Coach of the Season going to Pat Lam, Chairman’s Award going to John Muldoon and Guinness Players’ Player to Bundee Aki. After a stellar season the west Irish side have landed themselves a place in the Play-Offs for the first time in the competition’s history.

Guests enjoyed a Guinness-themed menu after the ceremony, followed by 360 views of Dublin at the Gravity Bar at the top of the Storehouse during after party.

The Guinness PRO12 season culminates on 28th May at BT Murrayfield, which is also being managed by CSM.
