CSM manage Hardys’ grassroots launch for 2016
As Hardys enter their third year as Official Wine of England Cricket, they have turned their attention to championing the grassroots game. Having established itself within the sport at the elite level during a successful Ashes summer, the new season will see the brand reach further unto the grassroots scene with the Heartbeat of the Club campaign.
We took Hardys ambassador Stuart Broad back to Egerton Park CC in Melton Mowbray, his first club, to help launch of Hardys’ Heartbeat of the Club initiative. The initiative will see Hardys feature a local cricket volunteer each month in the Cricketer magazine, as well as reward them with a case of Hardys wine.

At Egerton Park, Stuart was reunited with David Glover – his former captain in the 2nd XI and the club’s chairman and driving force – and both will feature in grassroots specifc ATL, as well as in content to be released throughout the summer. CSM also captured a long-form hero piece with Ian Ward, ex-England cricketer and Sky Sports pundit, and Stuart, showcasing the importance of the grassroots game. The day ended with members of the club attending a Q&A and wine tasting with Stuart which showcased Hardys’ more premium wines.
