Setting the Stage for the Emirates FA Cup at Wembley
We helped Wembley Stadium stage both the Emirates FA Cup semi-finals and final between Manchester United and Chelsea.
Working with the Football Association we ensured Wembley Stadium was looking its best for the four teams that made it to the semi-finals and final of the FA Cup, providing extensive stadium branding. This included all in-tier branding, the player area, tunnel and press conference area, and the FA Cup Archway that was a centre piece as the teams walked out onto the famous pitch.
After the first semi-final on the Saturday, which saw Man United come back to beat Spurs, all the branding across the stadium was transformed to Chelsea and Southampton ready for the gates to open at midday on the Sunday.
Our team helped to create a visually striking stadium experience for the 150,000+ fans that attended and the millions that watched on television over the two days. They witnessed two exciting games with Manchester United and Chelsea making it through to the final, which we also delivered on the 19th May. Chelsea held on to claim their 8th FA Cup in front of 87,647 fans at Wembley and the millions again tuning in around the world.
