Dove Men+Care release second 'Spirit of Rugby' film
As part of their new partnership with the World Rugby Awards, Dove Men+Care launched the second film in an emotive series titled the ‘Spirit of Rugby’. The series aims to celebrate remarkable acts of care within the Rugby community.
This film, titled 'The Letter of Care', highlights the spirit and togetherness in rugby as world renowned referee, Nigel Owens, reveals the support that RFU chairman, Bill Beaumont, displayed when he wrote a handwritten letter to Nigel after he was subjected to homophobic abuse at Twickenham in 2014.
Working closely with the production team, we led the creative process to storyboard, shoot, gather footage and construct the final film, and managed the multi-channel launch ahead of Pride Cymru, which takes place in Cardiff this weekend. Nigel Owens has been a Patron for the charity for a number of years, campaigning to stamp out sexual discrimination in sport since coming out as gay in 2007.
