World Rugby Sevens Series 2018

HSBC challenged us to use the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series sponsorship as a global vehicle to help the bank to get closer to its customers, foster deeper relationships with its employees and the local community and encourage brand warmth.

After reviewing the existing successful global activity, we worked closely with local market teams to develop a new activation plan bespoke to their needs, based on feedback and tournament insights.

Across the series, 4,473 guests attended HSBC global hospitality programs with 86% rating their event as excellent, and over 10,000 HSBC employees actively engaged in the global activity. On top of that, more than 37,000 fans took part in the HSBC fan zones that were a feature of each tournament, whilst 108,607 children participated in the HSBC grassroots programmes - a 121% increase from 2017.
