It has been a hectic end to a crazy year of football, and we have been working hard on behalf of our client Sure (also known as Rexona and Degree), to activate their partnerships with Man City FC, Chelsea FC and La Liga.

Back in March, the team helped create TVCs with City’s Sergio Aguero, Phil Foden and Ederson, and Chelsea’s Mason Mount, to showcase the brand’s ‘Double Protection’ product messaging. We also helped the brand celebrate International Women’s Day with the Unstoppable Series, working with La Liga and Man City Women to explore the inspiring stories of some of women’s biggest football stars. You can watch those, here.

More recently, we have taken the Unstoppable Series across to Chelsea FC, launching content pieces with three of its first-team stars. In the first episode, US Men’s National Team icon, Christian Pulisic, talks through his inspiring journey to the top, what motivates him to be better and the power of movement. You can watch that in full, here.

That was followed by an interview with World Cup winning striker, Olivier Giroud, who reveals why physical movement has played such a vital role in his hugely successful career. In the video below, watch him talk about the significance of loan spells, France’s World Cup win, and why staying physically fit is so important for his state of mind.

In the midst of all that, news broke of the failed European Super League. While most of the football fraternity engaged in debate about its suitability, we saw it as an opportunity to land some tongue-in-cheek product messaging, helping Sure create the print ad below which ran in UK newspapers.

As fate would have it, both Chelsea and Man City reached the Champions League Final in May, providing us with the perfect chance to produce yet more light-hearted reactive content, as two of Sure’s partner clubs brought the curtain down on a thrilling season. Both teams were supplied with Rexona and Sure Advanced Protection all season long. Coincidence? We think not!

We also created a number of other reactive assets including a Sky Sports Home Page Take Over, bespoke social assets, as well as a series of adapted TVCs that wished the two teams luck in the final and celebrated the eventual winner – all of which you can see here. A fitting way to end an extraordinary year of football.

In what has been another extraordinary season, we are proud to be working alongside Sure on their partnerships in football. Stay tuned for more, as attention turns to Euro 2020.
