Kane and Son are the new faces of AIA

In January, we helped AIA Singapore announce Tottenham Hotspur star, Heung-min Son, as its first Singapore brand ambassador. Son – affectionately known as “Sonny” – is a seven-time Asian Footballer of the Year, and last season became the first Asian player to win the Premier League Golden Boot.

His enlisting comes as part of the AIA ‘One Billion’ movement which aims to encourage  a billion people across the region to live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives by 2030. As AIA Singapore’s brand ambassador, Heung-min Son will inspire Singaporeans to live better every day by promoting holistic wellness in four  key  areas – physical health, motivation, mental health, and financial health – all with the aim of championing AIA’s brand promise of enabling the Singapore community to live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives.

In the lead up to the announcement, media from Singapore and the UK were given the opportunity to interview Sonny to cover the big release and his thoughts on working with AIA Singapore. As an added incentive, they were also invited to watch Spurs’ first team train live at the training centre and got up close and personal with the likes of Harry Kane, Hugo Lloris, and many more. To wrap up a busy week, AIA Singapore and the media then travelled to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to watch Spurs play Arsenal in an enthralling North London Derby.

It has been an exciting month for major announcements with Spurs’ record goal scorer and England captain, Harry Kane, also being named as a global ambassador for AIA. Together, they will collaborate with the Harry Kane Foundation to champion the importance of health and mental wellbeing.  We look forward to supporting them on that journey.
