Delivering an impressive production for soccer fans
On a chilly December evening in Charlotte’s Camp North End, we assisted Charlotte FC in revealing their first-ever football kit in front of hundreds of club supporters. The expansion Major League Soccer club will begin its inaugural season, “Minted in Blue” and “Uniting the Carolinas” in March.
The video’s narrator spoke to the fans through the speakers, whilst a giant LED wall lit up with scenes of soccer players from all backgrounds and ages dribbling around North and South Carolina landmarks. The video concluded with the kit reveal, which will be worn in the club’s inaugural match on March 5 at Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium. The visuals were accompanied by the voice of the narrator:
“For everyone, from everywhere, who dreamed, who believed, who led us forward, we’ve run. We’ve persevered. We’ve faced adversity and leaned on each other to come back stronger than ever.”
Nearly 60,000 fans are expected for Charlotte FC’s first home match. In addition to managing the audio and providing the LED wall which served a dual-purpose as both a stage backdrop and giant video screen, our production team handled the staging and lighting for the event. The “big reveal” was made complete with pyrotechnics and a kabuki drop unveiling a banner of the club’s “Carolina Kit” to a cheering crowd.
