To mark Sage’s inaugural year as the Official Finance Software Partner of Major League Baseball, we helped them team up with Baseball Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr. to give fans a VIP experience and celebrate the start of the 2023 MLB season.
The iconic 19-time MLB All-Star known for holding the likely unbreakable record of playing in 2,632 consecutive games led Sage’s #SageOOO campaign to introduce the brand to baseball fans.
With Ripken Jr. being so well-known for never missing a “day of work,” we had some fun in the lead up to Opening Day by teasing the idea of Cal setting his out of office message to help Sage get ready for the start of the season.
In the campaign hero video, several Sage MVPs including customers and colleagues from across North America were treated to a once-in-a-lifetime surprise from Ripken Jr. himself, gifting them Opening Day tickets and the day off to enjoy the start of the season. We also secured multiple media interviews for Ripken Jr. across top-tier, national sports outlets: CBS Sports, MLB Tonight, and Sportsnet Canada via broadcast/digital where he spoke about the campaign, his work with Sage, and shared some of his thoughts heading into the 2023 season.
The Sage Out of Office Campaign will continue with a sweepstakes later this month featuring a chance for fans to win MLB All-Star Game tickets and a meet-and-greet with Cal Ripken Jr.
The #SageOOO campaign is all about celebrating the team spirit, dedication, and professionalism of Sage’s customers and colleagues in the workplace and served as a wonderful compliment to Sage’s overall partnership with Major League Baseball which primarily focuses on insights around pitching and managerial decisions within the sport.
