Land Rover is an Official Sponsor of the British & Irish Lions Tour to South Africa. With this Tour unlike any other, and fans unable to travel to support the Lions, we have helped Land Rover create a series of short films that distil the sense of adventure that sits at the heart of any Lions Tour.

Featuring rugby stalwarts Brian O’Driscoll, Jason Robinson, Maro Itoje, Owen Farrell, Martin Johnson, Sam Warburton and Bryan Habana, the Lions Adventure series also calls upon cameo from the likes of Zara Tindall, all with the aim of bringing those fans at home a little bit closer to the unique experience of a Lions tour. Watch Lions head coach, Warren Gatland, introduce the series here.

In episode one, David Flatman was joined by fellow Land Rover ambassadors Will Greenwood and Stuart Hogg, to preview the tour. With the help of professional chef, Genevieve Taylor, the trio discussed all things Lions over a most South African tradition – a braai.

For the next instalment, the adventure headed over to South Africa itself. As a long-term partner, Land Rover is committed to leaving a Lions legacy in the host nation, long after the Tour has finished. With Lions and Springboks players unable to physically get out into the local communities this tour, Bryan Habana was tasked with taking the Land Rover Hope Gardens initiative to the Western Cape of South Africa.

The Hope Gardens project first began in Thembisa in 2018 with long-standing partner, the South African Red Cross. The aim of Hope Gardens is to create a lasting impact, helping to uplift communities, not only with a continuous supply of fresh produce, but also agricultural and environmental education. You can watch that episode here.

Episode three soon followed, as anticipation built ahead of the 1st Test of the Castle Lager Lions Series. Released on the eve of the big game, Land Rover brought together a host of Lions legends to explain what it takes to win a Lions series and scale the “Everest of Rugby.

And this week, the latest episode dropped, featuring an appearance from ex-special forces soldier Jason Fox. In the most intense episode yet, Jason grills former Lions Brian O’Driscoll and Lawrence Dallaglio on behalf of David Flatman, to find out the real truth behind exactly what it takes, and what it means, to be a British & Irish Lion. Watch that one, below.
