Delivering a month-wide programme of events

It’s been a busy April for our Production team. In a month that began with the “Showcase of the Immortals” at Wrestlemania 38 in Dallas, Texas, April also featured four NASCAR races, three stops on the 26-event Barstool Classic Golf Tour, a college E-Sports showcase, leadership meetings and more across nine different states. While it’s impossible to cover everything that we accomplished this month, here’s a break down of the highlights for you.

NASCAR

Whether it was at Richmond, Martinsville, Bristol or Talladega Superspeedway, CSM Production’s presence was felt across the NASCAR circuit in April. The production of Trackside Live, the sport’s version of College Gameday, took place at three of the four tracks, and featured guests ranging from NASCAR drivers, Major League Eating emcee George Shea, actor Jack McBrayer, and coaches from the USFL.

The team was also responsible for creating activations for clients including Ruoff Mortgage, Walmart’s Adventure Force brand of NASCAR toys, NASCAR Sales, Dead on Tools, and recently concluded an activation for Ford at Dover. Alongside that, we helped produce the weekly The 1948 VIP Reception, as well as the Xfinity Series Dash 4 Cash at Richmond, Martinsville, and Talladega.

Barstool Classic

April featured stops in Atlanta, Ga., Nashville, Tenn.,  and Southern Pines, N.C., for the 2022 Barstool Classic golf tournament. On all 26 tour stops this season, the Experiential team is there to lend Barstool Sports a helping hand with course preparation.

Week in and week out, the team arrives well before the participating golfers to ensure that all of the tournament’s branded elements, including on-course signage, larger-than-life props, and branded coolers for title sponsor, Truly, are in place and ready to go. When the event is over, these elements are expertly packed and transported to the next tour stop, and the process starts all over.

During an April tour stop at North Carolina’s Southern Pines Golf & Country Club, we got to go behind the scenes during advance day to get a small taste of what it’s like to set up the course ahead of “America’s Member Guest.”

SWAC E-Sports

Last, but certainly not least, our Production team joined forces with Webber Marketing at Alabama State University’s Dunn-Oliver Acadome to produce the 2022 Southwestern Athletic Conference E-Sports Championships.

The event featured head-to-head matchups in two different sports video games, NBA 2K22 and Madden 22, contested between 24 of the best gamers in the SWAC. We provided production support for the event, including construction of a large stage and DJ booth, truss arches for signage, projection screen and multiple LCD monitors.

The event got the tweet of approval from Alabama A&M’s Jaeveon Jordan, who took home a $1,500 first prize in scholarship dollars after claiming the NBA 2K title.

As events continue to return, the Production team is thrilled to continue to provide our clients with best-in-class event production services.
