Supporting North America’s golfing roadshow
For the fourth consecutive year, our Production teams were responsible for tour management for the Barstool Classic, a series of golf tournaments across North America that brands itself as “America’s Member Guest.” 200 days and 25 stops across 19 states, as well as Canada. Having begun the 2023 campaign in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, the Barstool Classic “regular season” concluded with a “home game” for our Charlotte-based team at nearby Palisades Country Club.
Throughout the season, Production’s experiential team was responsible for on-course branding and signage for Barstool Sports and activation for event sponsors including title sponsor Truly Hard Seltzer, and supporting sponsors Biolyte, Play Golf Myrtle Beach, Taylormade Golf, Chevrolet, Peter Millar and G-Fore. The activations were truly “larger-than-life” and featured props including stacked foam letters, a custom fabricated “locker room” for Peter Millar, a giant “sand” castle for Play Golf Myrtle Beach, an oversized inflatable Biolyte bottle, and the alliterative “Truly Trolley” golf cart. At each location, Production also set up a special “VIP Parking” area for Chevrolet drivers in each course’s parking lot.
No stranger to creating magic in unexpected locations, Production were also responsible for getting all of these assets – which fit snuggly inside a 50’ tractor trailer – from location to location. While the “Classic” regular season has come to an end, the tour truly concludes with the Barstool Classic Championship, which takes place this December in Arizona.
