HBO Max: Tokyo Vice takeover
We engaged multicultural audiences through a multi-tactical campaign that raises awareness and builds excitement and viewership around HBO Max’s all-new series, Tokyo Vice.
What we did
To help create buzz around the launch of HBO Max’s latest drama, we invited a select few influencers to tap into their inner Jake Adelstein and uncover a hidden speakeasy experience inspired by the gritty and seductive world of Tokyo Vice. Our diverse group of culturally relevant content-creators were “transported” to 90’s Tokyo as they take on this immersive mission via a made-for-content scavenger hunt in LA’s Little Tokyo.
Influencers made their way from one intriguing location to the next, while uncovering clues at every turn, which ultimately led them to a speakeasy event like no other. Joined by even more friends, they uncovered even more Tokyo-inspired surprises, posed for photo ops throughout the space and enjoyed a Japanese-inspired menu and show-themed specialty cocktails.
