The kick-off media event ahead of the tournament in the UAE in December
Last month we worked with the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2017 to stage the first media event for the tournament where the official emblem was unveiled.
The unique FIFA Club World Cup trophy shape was used as a starting point for the official emblem. In addition, the design draws inspiration from the UAE’s rich history, heritage and culture. The iconic ball, created from Arabic calligraphy meaning ‘Emirates’, features at the top of the emblem, and depicts a unifying force synonymous with the nation’s passion for the beautiful game.
We were responsible for all the PR and communications behind the emblem launch event which included inviting UAE media titles, managing spokespeople and coordinating interviews and photo calls with LOC and FIFA representatives. The media response was hugely positive and on the day close to 35 media titles including 50 journalists and photographers attended the event.
The emblem launch was a notable success, generating 105 print and online articles worth $470,000USD in organic coverage across the Middle East.
