PR & Comms strategy boosts cycling in Middle East
After helping launch the team in 2017, we have been delivering the PR & Comms for UAE Team Emirates, the UAE’s flagbearers at the UCI World Tour. The team have made major strides throughout the past two years, including recently winning the 6th
stage of the Tour de France, and the PR campaign has been a resounding success.
Since the beginning of the 2018 UCI World Tour season, riders from UAE Team Emirates have not only been achieving their own personal goals, but working with our team in the Middle East to build a community of cyclists across the region.
During both the Tour of Abu Dhabi and Dubai Tour our comms team have been managing media relations at each of the stages, as well as organising a series of sponsor, school and community engagement events hosted by the riders.
Now, as we move out of the Classics season and into the Grand Tours, our publicists are focused on placing daily race previews and reviews, whilst continuing to handle an increasing number of requests for rider interviews as the team’s profile and prominence grows throughout the GCC.
