In 2016 and 2017, we were tasked with project managing and delivering the AFC Annual Awards for the Asian Football Confederation. This globally recognised awards ceremony, held in Abu Dhabi in 2016 and Bangkok in 2017, honours those individuals, teams and institutions that have excelled throughout the year. It is also a celebration of football, featuring iconic names and entertainment to showcase how the sport is developing in Asia.
For both events, we were responsible for the event management of all suppliers and stakeholders, including governing bodies, live broadcasters and international entertainment artists, as well as the project management of live broadcast with full production and scheduling over 90 minutes.
We also provided an end-to-end journey for over 500 VIP guests at each ceremony. This included invitations, transportation, hotel management and VIP gifting, alongside the creation of multiple hospitality spaces with 5* catering, for both pre-award and post-award receptions.
The two events were delivered across three venues, with local and international entertainment acts integrated in to the ceremonies to produce a unique and memorable experience for all our guests. We controlled the creation and delivery of event branding and wayfinding across all venues spaces, in line with the specifics of the AFC theme from each year, and supplied comprehensive staffing solutions to ensure all 500+ guests were guided and looked after throughout the events.
