Our live brand experience team designed and built Lidl's Football Zones to help the brand with its commitment to growing grassroots football across the country and engaging with their target audience of mums and children.
Each Lidl Football Zone features a selection of skills-based challenges run by expert FA Skills coaches who talk the children through the obstacles and offer advice on how to improve. The four separate activations are centred on different football skills in a fun branded environment, offering plenty of opportunity for repeat engagement and emphasising the affinity between Lidl and football.
We provided parents with the opportunity to share pictures of the experience on social media using the hashtag #LidlFootball to maximise buzz around the activation and for the chance to win a host of amazing FA prizes.
The results were excellent with 37,000+ challenges completed, 30,000+ samples distributed, 200 newsletter sign-ups per day and a 15% voucher redemption rate (vs. an industry average of 2-3%).
