We created a hashtag campaign, #whosgonnawin, for the Indy500 to drive social media engagement around the high profile title partnership between Verizon and IndyCar.
Verizon wanted to raise awareness of its high profile title sponsorship of IndyCar and create a buzz around its flagship race, the Indy500.
We created the #whosgonnawin campaign for the race weekend. Fans were asked to share their race predictions and a leaderboard of these votes was projected onto buildings at the race track. Exclusive race team content was developed and integrated across social channels to drive engagement.
The campaign generated nearly 300m impressions and the promotional campaign attracted 11,000 entries over the race weekend. As a result of this campaign’s success, we were positioned as the lead agency to create and co-ordinate the evolution of another hashtag campaign - #IndyRivals.
